We have exciting news for our fellow beekeepers! ANEL insulated beehives are coming to Wooly Wildflowers & Honey in October 2026. We will also have beekeeping tools, supplies, and special hive packages available.
As beekeepers ourselves, we are always learning. We also look for new ways to make beekeeping easier for us and better for our bees. That search is what led us to ANEL insulated beehives.
After learning more about their design and benefits, we knew these hives were something we wanted to bring to our local beekeeping community.
Why Choose ANEL Insulated Beehives?
ANEL insulated beehives are designed with both the bees and the beekeeper in mind.
Unlike a traditional wooden hive, an ANEL hive has a durable, food-grade polypropylene outer shell. Inside, a thick layer of polyurethane foam provides insulation.
This insulation helps protect the colony from changing outdoor temperatures. During the winter, it slows heat loss. During hot weather, it also slows heat gain.
Of course, insulation does not replace good hive management. However, it can help create a more stable environment inside the hive.
Built for Beekeepers
Another benefit of ANEL insulated beehives is their low-maintenance design. There is no painting or yearly wood maintenance required.
The hives are also lightweight, durable, and resistant to moisture. In addition, they are resistant to several chemicals commonly used in beekeeping.

Along with our ANEL insulated beehives, we plan to carry a growing selection of beekeeping supplies.
These supplies will include hive tools, feeders, gloves, smokers, frames, supers, honey strainers, queen cages, bee brushes, Apiguard, and more.
Whether you are a new beekeeper or have been keeping bees for years, we hope to make finding the supplies you need a little easier.
Local Pickup and Shipping Available
Our ANEL insulated beehives and beekeeping supplies are expected to arrive in October 2026.
Customers will have the option of local pickup in King or Walnut Cove, North Carolina. We will also offer shipping within the United States on available products.
More information about ordering, availability, and pickup will be announced as we get closer to October.
