About Wooly Wildflowers & Honey at Farmin’ Chaos
My brother, Lane, first sparked my interest in honey bees. Because I am allergic to bee stings, I was scared to get started. But after visiting the honey bee exhibit at Hanging Rock State Park, I decided to take the leap, and I have never regretted it.
Beekeeping also has a special connection to our family. My husband, Jon, is proud to carry on a family history of beekeeping that goes back to his great-grandfather, who kept bees many years ago. Knowing that beekeeping was part of his family generations before us makes this journey even more meaningful.
Since we started our beekeeping journey, we have continued learning by attending bee schools and have become members of the Stokes County Beekeepers Association and the North Carolina Beekeepers Association.
Farm life has taught us the importance of caring for our animals and working with nature. I am always looking for natural ways to care for our bees and make their jobs easier, from providing ponds for an abundant water source to planting fields of wildflowers. Our discovery of ANEL insulated plastic beehives is another step in that journey.
Honey bees are a vital part of our lives and truly are amazing creations that only God could design. The more we learn about them, the more we appreciate how much they do and how important it is to care for them.
At Wooly Wildflowers & Honey, we want to share our love of farm life and beekeeping with others. We strive to offer products and supplies that help both beginner and experienced beekeepers, along with items inspired by the simple joys of country living.
Thank you for supporting our small business and being part of our journey. We are proud to share what we love and look forward to helping you along your own beekeeping journey!
A Life Built, Not Imagined
After many years as both married partners and best friends, my dream of building a home in a pasture became reality over five years ago. It did not come easy. It took time, physical labor, setbacks, and more than a little chaos, but it built something real.
Farm life has always been my passion.
I am independent, strong-willed, and tender-hearted. I was raised believing that if someone else can do something, I can too. Most things in life are not as impossible as they seem, and there is always a solution if you are willing to keep going.
Jon, my husband, has been the steady force through it all. I often say he is the “chaos” in Farmin’ Chaos. While he may not have been born into farm life, he has fully embraced it, supporting, building, and giving everything he has to help create this life. My son and I are deeply grateful for him.
The Heart of the Farm
Everything here is connected.
Our honey bees are essential to the life of the farm. They pollinate our fields, support our wildflowers, and produce raw honey that reflects the land itself, pure, natural, and full of character. Their role goes far beyond production. They help maintain balance, biodiversity, and life across the entire ecosystem.
Our sheep are raised with care, allowed to graze freely across open pasture. Their well-being is a priority, and in return, they provide high-quality wool that is soft, durable, and deeply tied to the land it comes from.
We are continually growing, expanding wildflower fields that support pollinators and wildlife, developing seasonal crops like pumpkins, and cultivating pesticide-free fruits used in jellies and other natural goods. Each season brings new life, new challenges, and new opportunities to build something meaningful.
More Than a Farm
Wooly Wildflowers & Honey is not just about what we produce. It is about what we stand for.
Alongside the farm, we offer small-batch, custom work including apparel, personalized items, engraving, and organic compost. These efforts help support and grow our apiary while sustaining the care of the animals and land.
This is also a personal journey. I have spent much of my life giving freely, never thinking of myself as a “salesperson.” But I have come to understand that people can value what you create and still support it. This business allows me to continue giving while also building something that lasts.
"A Day on the Farm"
Boldly Ewe
From this life came something more.
Boldly Ewe was created as an extension of everything this farm represents, strength, individuality, and authenticity. The animals featured in our designs are the very ones that live here, cared for and loved every day.
This collection exists to empower women to recognize their worth, think independently, and embrace who they are without hesitation. It is for those who do not follow the crowd, but instead stand firm in their own identity.
Because true confidence is not about being perfect. It is about being real.
Why It Matters
Your support does more than purchase a product.
It helps provide a safe, loving home for our animals.
It supports the growth and care of our bees through organic practices.
It allows us to expand wildflower fields that sustain life beyond our farm.
It helps us continue building something rooted in purpose.
In return, this land, and everything on it, gives life.
A Simple Truth
“Anyone who thinks they are too small to make a difference has never met a honey bee.”
